The Press Association is the national news agency for the UK and Ireland, providing a continuous feed of text, pictures, video and data into a variety of newsrooms and businesses around the country. At the heart of the media industry, the Press Association supplies services to every national and regional newspaper, broadcasters, online publishers and a wide range of commercial organisations.

We are looking for a tenacious and ambitious Marketing Executive to help our dynamic marketing department with a range of activities that promote PA’s products and services to relevant audiences. This is a varied role and the successful candidate will work across campaigns, digital platforms, events, partnerships and more.

Key responsibilities include:


Implementing campaigns as scheduled and ensuring they are of a high quality:

  • Project managing the set up and management of the multichannel campaigns
  • Ensuring each campaign reaches the defined target audience through correct data selections and identification of supplementary data/channels where necessary
  • Ensuring campaigns are visually appealing and copy is written to an excellent standard
  • Passing relevant leads to the sales team
  • Ensuring each campaign hits defined targets (e.g. no. of leads)
  • Adding key metrics from campaigns to the campaign overview document
  • Analyse the results of campaigns and provide recommendations to optimise performance



  • Management of relevant automation emails
  • Posting in relevant social media platforms to assist campaigns
  • Advertising PA’s products and services within relevant digital platforms including Google Adwords and LinkedIn where necessary for specific campaigns
  • Ensuring PA are listed on relevant websites and online directories



Managing PA’s presence at relevant conferences and events by:

  • Agreeing and executing relevant media partnerships to reach relevant audiences as agreed with the Head of Marketing
  • Managing general event operations at these events
  • Managing event attendance for Sales team
  • Ensuring all event related activities are tracked within the CRM including delegate lists and opportunities
  • Assist with the running of client events


Technical Qualifications:

  • An understanding of how to use marketing automation and CRM systems
  • Excellent use of Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel
  • Experience using CMS platforms

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Experience of copywriting, editing and maintaining copy across a range of platforms
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines and stakeholders
  • Outstanding copywriting skills
  • Able to collaborate and build excellent relationships
  • Experience analysing and reporting on data
  • Innovative and proactive attitude, with an openness to new ideas
  • Experience of developing and delivering high value marketing partnerships
  • Strong project management and organisation skills
  • Experience in market sizing and research
  • An excellent eye for detail
  • Demonstrates flexible approach to work


Desirable skills:

  • Knowledge and experience of Pardot and Salesforce would be advantageous
  • Experience of working in a B2B sales and marketing environment
