A wealth of information can be found for you by our researchers who access the two archives compiled by the Press Association. We have a digital archive that provides a complete record of Press Association copy dating from January 1991 to the present day, and a national press cuttings archive held by East Riding of Yorkshire Council dating from the turn of the century until 2003.
Both archives are widely used for research purposes, such as finding out background details to ongoing court cases. Information is supplied on request to many external customers including regional papers, trade publications and, on occasion, private detectives
Digital Archive
The digital archive provides a comprehensive record of all the stories that have been released on the Press Association wire service. The digital archive automatically updates with copy written by our team of highly skilled journalists. It gives an accurate and impartial record of UK news and events as they happened alongside a wide range of sports stories and major foreign news events.

National Press Cuttings Archive
The national press cuttings archive includes 14 million catalogued cuttings from national papers covering major news stories. It provides a detailed insight into the world of news from the last century.
