The Press Association is able to deliver a wide range of work based learning programmes for schools and colleges based around the media and media products.

Working with our education partners, Multimodal World and the Education Business Partnership, we are able to provide a real hands-on experience of the world of work at each of our three training centres.

We can design bespoke programmes which can help towards the awarding of specific qualifications, as well as delivering fun projects based around the real world of the media.

Tours of busy newsrooms are included in all our programmes and we are able to tailor the offering to fit the needs of individual schools and colleges.

Some include a visit from one of our experienced journalists who are able to offer careers advice and insight into how the modern media works.

Students produce a wide range of products while working with us from full colour newspapers, magazines to websites and glossy leaflets.

All our schemes are based around providing a positive experience of the world of work for students, making the experience as real life as possible and giving them a unique insight into the media.

Our new Community Classroom in Newcastle which is being opened in conjunction with the Newcastle Education Business Partnership will be available from June.

It is fully equipped with the latest technology and will be available to school and colleges to work on media projects.
