We cover all the technical aspects of the camera (manual focus, exposure and white balance). Plus, the different types of microphone and how to gather the best sound. You will learn how to edit the pictures, sequences and interviews you shoot.

- At the end of the course you will be able to:
- Operate the Sony HVR-A1 camera’s most useful features
- Understand when auto functions do not work
- Take the camera out of automatic and use it in manual
- Understand how to compose well-framed shots
- Understand how to shoot a simple sequence for editing
- Edit a sequence on Adobe Premiere Elements
- Understand the different types of microphone available and when to use them
- Mix audio in the edit
- Shoot a simple interview
- Shoot a story
- Import video into the computer
- Use the trimming tools
- Add voice over, music, effects and titles
- Export the story.
