The video wire is a brand new service that delivers dynamic sports news in video format. The service ensures websites and broadcasters have access to the best possible latest sports content.
Comprehensive coverage of the day’s top sports stories is available seven days a week with content gathered by our network of experienced video journalists. This includes coverage of pre-match news conferences for the Premiership, FA and Carling Cups, cricket (including The Ashes), rugby union, boxing and athletics.
Our coverage is not limited to the UK - we can deliver sports news content from major events around the world. In 2009, we followed the British and Irish Lions for every match of their tour of South Africa; we travelled to Kazakhstan with the England football team; and featured David Haye in Germany as he prepared to take on Wladimir Klitschko for three world heavyweight belts.
The video wire service comprises of roughly edited footage that customers can use however they want, as a source of 30 second clips for embedding in text pages, or material that can be combined with locally-produced video for unique packaged content. The video wire is delivered direct to customers via ftp, with regularly updated schedules detailing the material on offer.
