Press Association Scotland appoints Victoria Mitchell as editor
The Press Association Scotland today announces the appointment of Victoria Mitchell as editor. Victoria has held the post of deputy editor in Scotland for the past two years and has overseen the expansion of the agency's video-gathering operation. She was previously a chief reporter for Press Association Scotland, covering high profile stories such as the Glasgow airport terrorist attack, G8 summit at Gleneagles and the Maryhill plastics factory blast.
Commenting on her appointment, Victoria said: "It is a real honour to be appointed editor of Press Association Scotland and I look forward to enhancing the quality of service provided by our outstanding team of multi-skilled reporters and award-winning photographers.”
Press Association editor, Jonathan Grun, said: “Victoria’s appointment recognises her hard work and dedication during the seven years that she has worked for the Press Association. She is a highly talented journalist and, with over fourteen years of experience working in Scottish news, is well placed to respond to the requirements of our customers in this evolving marketplace.”
Victoria replaces Iain Duff who leaves Press Association Scotland at the end of next week after six years in the role of editor.
