The Press Association is to provide video footage from diary events as part of a trial in two ITV regions.
The pilot will see Press Association journalists working with ITV Granada and ITV central in the Midlands and Northwest of the country to gather material. Footage will be delivered using PA’s file-based contribution and distribution systems.
Mike Blair, Director of ITV Wales, Granada and Central said "The project will last two months. It is an extension of PA's current wire service and will complement our own news gathering resource."
Tony Watson, Managing Director, the Press Association said “Our Video Direct service allows journalists to deliver content straight to customers from the field. We are pleased to be offering additional video to ITV during this trial period.”
