Press Association launches FindMeTV television listings app for the iPad

The Press Association has launched its first TV guide application for the iPad. The FindMeTV app, co-created by Vizimo, enables users to organise their viewing and build a personal TV schedule whilst on the move. The app also recommends new shows and allows users to set their Sky+ box to record whilst away from home.

FindMeTV iPad users can browse listings for more than 400 television channels up to 14 days in advance, instantly find what is on now and next, set alert notifications and build a personal “MYtv” schedule of their favourite shows across Freeview, Sky, Virgin, Freesat, Top Up TV and Terrestrial television. Users can also catch up on available BBC shows via direct links to the BBC iPlayer.

Programmes can be searched by channel, genre, day of the week or time and users can also select default listings selection for all major cable and terrestrial television packages.

The FindMeTV iPad app follows the recently-launched www.findmetv.com website and iPhone app. Web users can link their account with their iPhone so that their choices are synchronised wherever they access the service.

Ian Davies, Head of Product Development at Press Association said:

“The FindMeTV app allows users to carefully plan, and even record, their TV viewing whilst on the move, giving them control over what they watch and when. Following the success of our FindMeTV app for iPhone, the iPad app marks an important step towards delivering the service on a wider range of platforms. We aim to update the app frequently - and we’ll soon be adding social media functions so that users can share their TV choices via Twitter and Facebook.”

The FindMeTV app for the iPad, iPhone and iPod touch is available in the Apple iTunes App Store now.

Download the iPad app for £2.99 from iTunes.
