Sport appoints Managing Director, Commercial

Andy Rice joins Press Association Sport today as Managing Director, Commercial. In this newly-created role, Andy will be responsible for ensuring the sports information provider capitalises fully on the demand for sports editorial and data in the sports media, digital, betting and corporate markets, as well as building on and expanding PA’s relationships with sporting bodies.

Andy has a strong commercial background, having worked as Commercial Director at Archant Media Group and Sportbusiness International Group Ltd. He has also held commercial roles at Market Link Publishing, Centaur Communications Ltd and IPC Magazines. Most recently, Andy ran his own business as a business development consultant, working on projects for the Leaders in Football Conference, SportsUnite and 'Dragon', James Caan. Andy has also lectured at Birkbeck College on the Sports Marketing and Football MSc programme.
