The following restrictions apply to your use of Images from the FIFA World Cup 2010.
Images may be used for bona fide editorial purposes. Bona fide editorial uses include:
(a) printed publications that carry news, editorial or features and the online versions of such publications (such as newspapers, newspaper supplements, magazines and books);
(b) news, sport and general editorial sections of websites provided that these are not intended for, or promoted as being available for, mobile access/viewing;
(c) broadcasters and production companies for inclusion in news, current affairs or magazine programmes with a news element or discussion of current affairs angle, and documentaries;
Use is subject to the following restrictions:
- Images may be published for editorial purposes only.
- Images may not be used in association with the names, marks, symbols or logos of any commercial entity.
- No alteration or manipulation of any publisheed image is permitted, which (a) intentionally obscures or removes a sponsor identification image; or (b) adds or overlays onto the image the commercial identification of any third party which is not officially associated with the FIFA World Cup. The images may be manipulated by, for example, cropping, overlaying (including with copyright or photographer credits), bleeding and obscuring parts of the image.
- In the case of electronic publication, Images must appear as still Images (and not as moving Images or rapid-sequence streaming or refreshed Images e.g. slideshows from the same scene.
- Images may be used for editorial purposes on internet websites which are viewable by means of mobile technology (such as WAP-enabled websites) BUT may not be transmitted via mobile technology (such as mobile alert services, downloads to mobile devices or MMS messaging).
Press Association Images will not continue to supply Images from the FIFA World Cup 2010 to users who do not comply with the restrictions set out above and such failure may result in legal action being brought against the users.
