Driver in court accused of minicab murder

A man has appeared at the Old Bailey, charged with murdering a homeless man who died after being being knocked down by a minicab in central London.

Robert Scott, believed to have been aged around 50, died last November following the incident in Old Burlington Street, Mayfair.

Driver Imran Raja, 38, of Dellow Close, Ilford, east London, was accused of murder, manslaughter and death by dangerous driving.

He was remanded in custody to face trial in May.
