Tributes left after boy's death

Friends and family of a 14-year-old boy who died after being shot left messages of their grief on Facebook tribute pages.

At 5.50pm on Thursday the body of the teenager, named as Liam Nelson on the social networking website, was found at an address in Brook Road, Merstham, Surrey.

It is understood that a firearm was involved but police are not looking for anyone else in connection with his death.

It is also understood that the occupants of the home are registered firearm keepers.

Posts on tribute pages set up on Facebook suggest that Liam had been bullied at school and had also suffered greatly from the death of his grandfather.

Laura Nye wrote: "My beautiful baby brother, i miss u so much and you have left a void that will never be filled.

"I hope you are at peace now flying in the sky like pilot you always wanted to be.

"I have so many wonderful memories and will never ever forget you. You are so loved by so many people and will be missed always. RIP my darlin."

James Irwin, who created one of the tribute pages, said: "He was a bright boy and never hated anyone, he was very friendly and everyone misses him."

He added in a post: "still cryin, y did u hav to lve us m8. u were a 1 in a million friend, always kind and friendly, u didnt deserve to get bullied at skl and u didnt deserve the pain of ur grandads death."
