Claudia Winkleman thinks Armando Iannucci is the funniest man alive

Claudia Winkleman: Armando's a hunk

Claudia Winkleman has declared comedian and writer Armando Iannucci her hero - rating him above Hollywood hunk Brad Pitt.

The TV presenter confessed when she met the In The Loop director she could hardly control herself, whereas she was unaffected meeting Brad.

Claudia said: "He is the funniest man alive - do you know I interviewed him once and I actually physically tried to mount him, because he's my hero, he is my hero."

She added: "I've never done it with anybody else, I've interviewed Brad Pitt, couldn't give a monkeys - Armando Iannucci, I tried to lick his face."

The Strictly: It Takes Two presenter attended the Evening Standard British Film Awards in London on Monday night.

She gushed: "I am a film fanatic. I think it's a very good year for films. I loved Precious, Up In The Air, Avatar, The Hurt Locker.

"I loved An Education and I loved In The Loop, I thought they were absolutely brilliant."
