Three people face court charged over Sheffield arson attack

Three in court over arson deaths

Three people, including a 14-year-old boy, will appear in court accused of murdering three men who died in an arson attack.

Trevor Richardson, 37, Kane McTell, 53, and Barry Nicholson, 67, died following the blaze in Albert Road, Heeley, Sheffield, on Friday night. A fourth person remains critical but stable in hospital.

The fire started downstairs in the mid-terrace home and when fire crews reached the scene it was well ablaze.

Neighbours reported seeing two people leap through windows to escape, while firefighters in breathing apparatus pulled two others out.

Two people died at the scene, while two others were taken to hospital, one dying later.

South Yorkshire Police said the 14-year-old has been charged with murder, attempted murder and wounding with intent.

A 17-year-old youth has been charged with murder and attempted murder.

Michelle Lamb, 35, from Sheffield, has been charged with murder, attempted murder and wounding with intent.

All three will appear before magistrates in Sheffield.
